The Role As a key member of our team the Velocity Host is responsible for warmly greeting and directing guests as they arrive at the lounge. As the first point of contact, the Host is responsible for making a lasting impression with our guests, and ensuring that they are greeted, checked in, and provided wait time information to the highest standard. Your contributions to the team include: Warmly welcome and seat guests upon arrival. Provide menus and announce server’s name. Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas and assist with extra attention needs. Manage reservations, wait times, and waiting lists accurately. Maintain a clean reception area and ensure adherence to OH&S standards. Monitor table distribution and coordinate seating options with servers. Answer incoming calls and address guest queries. Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return. Additional tasks and duties as assigned. A few things we are looking for in a new team member: Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of restaurant etiquette. Familiarity with health and safety regulations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar areas. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods. Previous experience as a Host is an asset. Working knowledge of Silverware POS System an asset. Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Velocity Host is responsible for warmly greeting and seating guests while managing reservations and wait times. They act as the first point of contact to ensure a high standard of service and a positive guest experience.

Candidates should possess excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with restaurant etiquette and health and safety regulations is required, along with the physical ability to stand for long periods.
