***The successful candidates can expect to be scheduled 32-40 hours/week including AM/PM, week day and weekend shifts.*** Regular Store Hours: Mon – Sat 8:00am – 8:00pm Sun 9:00am – 7:00pm WELLNESS TEAM LEADER (VITAMINS & BEAUTY) The Opportunity: Alongside the Wellness Manager you will be responsible for the overall appearance, efficiency, and profitability of the wellness area. This includes ensuring a clean and well stocked department, maintaining stock levels and placing orders that represent the department’s needs, and working with the Corporate Purchaser to ensure that all deals, specials, and other incentives are taken advantage of. In the absence of the Wellness Manager, you will manage all aspects of the department as outlined with the support of the Store Manager and wellness team members. Perks: Competitive wage starting at $22.00 - 23.25 per hour with consideration of experience and education Flexible benefits Up to 25% store discount Education allowance Free swag (products, food, clothing + more) Share in some laughs, air high-fives, and fun each day What We Are Looking For: A passion for organic food and natural medicine and love of the retail and grocery industry Strong, effective leadership abilities Excellent communication skills Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to set the standards for customer service in the Vitamins department Strong problem solving, and decision-making skills An eye for merchandising and the ability to assist in managing inventory High energy with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability and desire to lead by example and create a positive, supportive working environment Desire to support the Wellness Department Manager by actively working to meet the needs of our customers Responsibilities: Set an example for all other department staff members by showing exemplary customer service, strong work ethic, and dedication to the industry Maintain department cleanliness at all times, ensuring that shelves are clean, well-stocked, and faced Monitor department sales and employ tactics like encouraging selling, creating engaging displays, using in store sales, etc. to increase sales Merchandize the department in a way that promote sales and creates a visibly appealing layout Purchasing - ordering and inventory control; make sound, fact and data based decisions Make certain that all department staff are trained using Nature’s Fare Markets training material and according to the schedule set out in the training outline Effectively demonstrate leadership skills in the forms of delegating and coaching Uphold excellent communication skills and encourage open communication between all department members Experience/Education Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years retail sales experience in a wellness related role Passion for natural wellness Education in related field is an asset Previous team lead experience is an asset Put your passion into work that matters with a growing, BC-based company committed to be a better company for our customers, our employees, and the planet.
