Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on QA Lead with strong experience in enterprise SaaS applications and modern test automation frameworks (Selenium or Playwright). This role requires a balance of technical leadership and individual contribution, with an expectation of 50%+ hands-on QA work. You will lead QA efforts in a fast-paced, multi-product environment, working closely with globally distributed teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a shift-left culture, is highly execution-focused, and can drive quality outcomes under tight timelines. Key Responsibilities Lead QA efforts across enterprise SaaS applications, ensuring high-quality releases Act as a player-coach, contributing 50%+ hands-on in: Manual testing (especially for urgent or high-priority scenarios) Test automation development and execution Performance test execution and analysis Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright Execute and oversee: High-level functional testing Detailed regression testing Automated test suites and CI/CD integration Analyze test results, identify defects, and drive root cause analysis Collaborate with development teams operating in a shift-left model to ensure early defect detection Monitor and improve test quality metrics, coverage, and execution efficiency Manage and mentor QA engineers across multiple locations, fostering strong team culture and accountability Handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced delivery environment Required Qualifications 8+ years of QA experience, with recent experience as a QA Lead Proven experience testing enterprise SaaS applications Strong hands-on experience with test automation tools: Selenium or Playwright (must-have) Solid understanding of: Test automation frameworks and best practices CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests Performance testing fundamentals Demonstrated ability to work in a shift-left / agile development environment Experience managing distributed / multi-location teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Kubernetes, microservices) Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) Exposure to modern DevOps practices and tools What We’re Looking For Highly result-oriented with strong ownership mindset Comfortable with hands-on execution, not just oversight Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment Strong focus on quality, speed, and continuous improvement A leader who can balance delivery pressure with team culture
