POSITION SUMMARY: With a strong emphasis on project management, this position is responsible for supporting facilities engineering activities related to the New Flyer Winnipeg plant and the New Flyer Facility Council. This position will identify schedules, scopes, budget estimations, implementation plans and risk mitigation. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Creates business cases and develops costing forecasts. Prepares budgets based on project scopes and adheres to budgetary allocations. Reviews and manages lease negotiations for North American Bus and Coach facilities. Ensures accurate CAD layouts for all company facilities are maintained. Manages facility improvement projects. Specifies and facilitates capital and equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications. Implements and facilitates lean manufacturing initiatives. Provides support to process planning, tool and die, and manufacturing engineering. Promotes an environment of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork. Requirements WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Post-secondary education in engineering and/or a related field. 2-5 years prior experience in Project Management. Proven experience using Excel to perform project/business analysis. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and/or architectural drawings. Basic understanding of Oracle is required. Exceptional presentation and communications skills Excellent team player with ability to shift priorities quickly. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification considered a strong asset.
