Position Summary Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, you will support all manufacturing engineering activities within the assigned cells, including electrical system integration and system troubleshooting, implementing and facilitating lean manufacturing initiatives, implementing engineering change orders, assigning inventory locations, conducting contract reviews, creating shop floor instructions, evaluating standards and completing capital and facility upgrades. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Works effectively as a cell team member to ensure operational metrics are achieved an any remedial action is actively pursued. Provides manufacturing engineering support and services within assigned manufacturing cell(s). Represents manufacturing engineering within assigned cells at daily cell meetings and weekly plant metrics meetings. Maintains current updates on manufacturing engineering related tasks on the manufacturing cell log Designs or specifies any equipment/tooling/tracking required to support manufacturing Reviews relevant engineering change orders (ECOs) within assigned cells or assigned option groups and supports all aspects of production implementation. Reviews relevant engineering changed notifications (ECNs), within assigned cells at daily cell meetings and weekly plant metrics meetings. Implements and facilitates lean manufacturing initiatives (5s, value stream mapping, set-up reduction etc.) Leads or participates in SWAT team meetings, ensuring that necessary action is taken between cross-functional groups to resolve issues Specifies and facilitates capital and equipment upgrades, installations, or modifications. Supports process planning and production engineering Requirements Post-secondary education in a related engineering discipline and or equivalent experience is required for this position Lean certification or applicable equivalent experience is required for this position Superior computer and organizational skills Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines. Well-versed in AutoCAD Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be considered an asset Knowledgeable in Unigraphics and Oracle would be considered an asset Benefits OUR WHY: We exist to move people.
