POSITION SUMMARY: The Technical Sales Analyst is responsible for coordinating input and preparing proposals for New Flyer, MCI, and Alexander Dennis in response to sales opportunities. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Work alongside the Technical Sales Team to obtain clear definition of customer needs and requirements. Act as the primary contact with internal and external customers during the bid or proposal preparation stage. Provide daily guidance to functional departments relative to the completion of programs from initial strategy to post proposal submittal. Coordinate with cross - functional New Flyer teams in order to gather required information for bid submission and conduct regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare bid and proposal package elements and ensure proposal is submitted within established guidelines and complete all required project documentation, and pricing files. Coordinate with Supply team to ensure all costing is completed, and quotes for required items are obtained. Working with the Technical Sales team to develop final pricing recommendations and securing all the necessary approvals in accordance with New Flyer policy. Prepare bid or proposal package elements and ensure that the proposal is submitted within established departmental guidelines. Prepare contract changes after initial bid submission and work with customers to confirm final bus configuration for proper costing. Maintain internal sales databases and supporting documentation as necessary. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: University degree in business or engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management and coordination experience is considered an asset. Experience reading Blueprints and technical specifications. Working knowledge of heavy-duty transit bus architecture and components. Working knowledge of basic accounting and financial statements. Working knowledge of contractual terms and conditions. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Effective at managing time and competing demands. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) OUR WHY: We exist to move people.
