New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a part-time variable Senior Business Analyst to support a strategic Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) modernization initiative for a large public sector organization. The consultant will work as part of a multidisciplinary advisory team assessing the organization's current facilities maintenance and asset management environment, defining business and functional requirements, supporting future-state planning, and contributing to the evaluation of enterprise CMMS solutions. The ideal consultant will bring strong business analysis and facilitation skills combined with practical experience in EAM, CMMS, facilities management, maintenance operations, or other asset-intensive environments. Experience with IBM Maximo is highly desirable. Responsibilities: Lead and support current-state business and process assessment activities across facilities maintenance and asset management functions. Facilitate stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, and workshops with operational, business, technical, and leadership stakeholders. Document and analyze current-state business processes, workflows, pain points, roles, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement. Assess business processes related to asset lifecycle management, work management, preventive maintenance, inventory and materials, service requests, asset/location structures, reporting, and related facilities operations. Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and prioritize business, functional, and non-functional requirements for a future enterprise CMMS/EAM solution. Develop current-state and future-state process models, use cases, requirements documentation, and other business analysis deliverables. Identify gaps between current capabilities and future business requirements. Support development of the future-state operating model and recommendations for standardized processes and practices. Contribute to the evaluation of CMMS/EAM solutions against documented business and functional requirements. Support solution evaluation workshops, demonstrations, scoring, and requirements traceability. Work closely with the Engagement Lead and specialists in data, solution architecture, and integration to ensure business requirements are reflected across all workstreams. Support development of recommendations, implementation considerations, business case inputs, and the future CMMS roadmap. Assist with stakeholder validation of findings and recommendations throughout the engagement. Requirements: 10+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting complex enterprise business or technology initiatives. Demonstrated experience conducting current-state assessments, requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, and future-state design. Strong experience facilitating workshops and interviews with business, operational, technical, and senior stakeholders. Experience developing and documenting business, functional, and non-functional requirements for enterprise applications. Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), facilities management, maintenance management, asset management, or other asset-intensive operational environments. Understanding of relevant business processes such as asset management, work orders, preventive maintenance, maintenance planning, inventory/materials management, asset/location hierarchies, or facilities operations. Experience supporting enterprise software assessment, modernization, replacement, or solution-selection initiatives. Strong business process modelling and analysis skills. Ability to translate operational requirements into clear business and technology requirements. Excellent written communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills. Experience with IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) is highly desirable. Experience with other enterprise EAM/CMMS platforms is considered an asset. Healthcare, public sector, utilities, transportation, infrastructure, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industry experience is considered an asset. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.Ability to occasionally attend workshops or meetings in the Greater Vancouver area is considered an asset.
