Java Curam Developer (ID#5487)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Java Cúram Developer to support the development and integration of a Claims Management System. This role is responsible for designing, developing, prototyping, unit testing, and integrating components that align with enterprise architecture and business requirements. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on Java and DB2 experience, proven delivery experience with complex enterprise-scale applications, and the ability to provide technical leadership within an Agile team environment. Responsibilities: Develop components of the Claims Management System, including integration with other enterprise systems. Design technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture, application standards, and business requirements. Prototype user interface components and contribute to solution design activities. Implement, unit test, and integrate application components that form part of the overall solution. Lead and support the planning, design, and delivery of complex enterprise-scale Java applications. Provide technical leadership by guiding system experts, subject matter experts, and development team members. Evaluate technical approaches and influence solution design to ensure reliable, scalable, and maintainable outcomes. Participate fully in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with business, technical, and delivery stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support successful delivery. Analyze complex technical problems, learn new business and technical domains independently, and drive solutions through to completion. Promote a respectful, collaborative, and results-focused team culture. Requirements: 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development and DB2. Proven experience leading the planning, design, and delivery of complex enterprise-scale Java applications in an Agile environment. Experience developing and integrating components within large enterprise systems. Experience designing solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards. Strong technical analysis skills with the ability to assess complex requirements, evaluate technical options, and recommend effective solutions. Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership by guiding system and subject matter experts, influencing solution design, and evaluating technical approaches. Proactive and reliable working style with a strong focus on achieving results. Ability to learn new and complex technical or business areas independently. Ability to take ownership of assigned work and see solutions through to completion. Strong collaboration and communication skills.
