Your Impact As a Mine Services Miner, you will play a critical role in maintaining the underground infrastructure that supports safe and efficient production. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing underground services including ventilation, dewatering systems, compressed air, water distribution, pasteline, and other mine utilities. Your work will ensure underground mining activities can operate safely and reliably while supporting production objectives. As Part of Our Team, You Will Demonstrate visible safety leadership and actively promote a strong safety culture Install, extend, maintain, and repair underground services including air, water, pasteline, and dewatering systems Install and maintain ventilation infrastructure including vent tubing, ventilation controls, and auxiliary fans Support dewatering activities through the installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps, pipelines, and associated equipment Construct and maintain utility installations, barricades, work platforms, and other underground infrastructure Assist with underground road maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure safe access throughout the mine Operate underground equipment including scissor lifts, telehandlers, personnel carriers, forklifts, and service vehicles Conduct workplace inspections and identify hazards before commencing work Complete equipment pre-operational inspections and basic maintenance activities Maintain accurate records and communicate service-related issues to supervisors and crew members Support emergency response readiness and participate in mine rescue activities if qualified Work collaboratively with Production, Development, Maintenance, and Technical Services teams to support mine activities Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Class 5 Driver's License Minimum 2 years of underground mining experience Previous experience in underground mine services, construction, utility installation, or infrastructure maintenance considered an asset Experience installing and maintaining pumps, pipelines, ventilation systems, and underground services Experience operating underground support equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, forklifts, loaders, or boom trucks considered an asset Strong understanding of underground mining hazards and safe work practices Ability to read mine drawings and follow service installation plans Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and drug & alcohol test Physically capable of performing demanding underground work, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined environments for 12-hours Preferred Qualifications Underground Common Core or equivalent underground miner training Underground Supervisor Certification (asset) Mine Rescue Team experience (asset) Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform certifications Mechanical aptitude and experience with pumps, piping systems, and underground infrastructure Your Work Environment Remote, camp-based setting at Brucejack Mine 13 days on / 13 days off rotation (including travel days) Rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays Underground mining environment requiring the use of full PPE Physically demanding work involving walking, climbing, lifting, and working in varying underground conditions for 12-hour periods What Success Looks Like The successful Mine Services Miner consistently demonstrates safe work practices, proactively identifies and resolves infrastructure issues, and ensures essential underground services remain operational. They are a reliable team player who takes pride in maintaining the underground environment while supporting safe and efficient production across the mine.
