Senior Accountant | NextSource Materials Inc. | Toronto, ON Be part of a fast-moving Toronto finance team as a Senior Accountant. This is a role with real breadth – you’ll work across financial reporting, tax, treasury, and compliance, collaborate with international mining operations, and gain direct exposure to the full reporting cycle of a publicly listed company. This is a full time position based in downtown Toronto, in office 4 days a week. What you’ll do: Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting the Company’s financial reporting and operational finance activities. Own assigned areas of month-end close – GL reconciliations, accounting estimates and journal entries, and financial statement preparation in accordance with IFRS Support quarterly and annual financial reporting for a TSX-listed company Provide external audit support and liaise with auditors directly Assist with tax compliance, working alongside external tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions Support treasury functions including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships Collaborate with international operations teams across time zones Contribute to ongoing process improvement What you must bring to the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Progressive experience in a financial reporting or accounting role Experience preparing financial statements or supporting financial reporting deliverables in accordance with IFRS. Experience supporting month-end close, including general ledger reconciliations and journal entries Advanced experience in Excel What would help you succeed in the role: CPA designation or progress towards a CPA designation Proven ability to take initiative and independently drive complex projects to completion Demonstrated experience leveraging automation and process improvements to enhance financial workflows Experience supporting financial reporting for a publicly listed company Experience in mining, manufacturing, industrial or other complex operating environments.
