Our company, ngen squared, provides services and products centered around several aspects of digital twinning technology for the construction industry. This includes design coordination, 4D simulations and robotics. Job Requirements ● Must be enrolled at a Canadian University or College working towards a bachelor's degree in either mechanical, structural or civil engineering (4 or 5 year program); minimum first year must be complete, students up to fourth year are welcome to apply ● Must complete the Venture for Canada form to register as an Intern, form link: https://here.ventureforcanada.ca/en/ip-student-interest-form ● Must be legally eligible to work in Canada ● Familiarity and willingness to learn 3D CAD software and 4D construction simulation software – bonus if candidate has experience with: Onshape, AutoCAD, Revit, Unity, Rhino ● Intermediate skills in Bluebeam, willingness to learn Bluebeam may be considered ● Good organization and technical report writing skills are a requirement ● Beginner coding skills with C++ and/or C# a bonus ● Must have past personal or school projects that demonstrate creativity ● Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks based on the company's needs ● Must be entrepreneurially minded and eager to learn Job Description This is a 12-week, entry-level hybrid work term for students in the Edmonton, AB area; start date on September 7, 2026. This work term is part of Venture for Canada’s (VFC) internship program. Students hired by this program will have to complete VFC training to be eligible to apply again if they would like to be considered for future jobs offered through VFC. The summer intern shall work 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) and be paid on a monthly basis.
