Résumé du poste
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. The shift pattern for this post is 40 hours per week over 7 days/on-call commitment. This is a permanent post. Applications are invited for this substantive Consultant Cardiologist post which will be based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This is a permanent position which has arisen due to a resignation for relocation. The successful candidate will join an established consultant cardiologist team. A cardiologist with an interest in electrophysiology would be preferred. Applicants must have MRCP, full GMC registration and a licence to practise. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in Cardiology or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview. Dual accreditation in GIM would be preferred. NonUK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. The successful applicant will contribute to the in-patient cardiology rota at QEUH (CCU and general ward roles, weekend rota and out-of-hours on-call). The out-of-hours and weekend on-call commitment will be 1 in 11, covering the QEUH. The week day commitment to CCU will be 1 in ~18 and for the Cardiology wards 1 in ~12. The successful candidate will contribute a general out-patient clinic at the New Victoria Hospital and contribute to the vetting of GP referrals.
