OOH Deputy Service Manager Aberdeen Health Village A very exciting opportunity has arisen within the Out of Hours Primary Care Service. We are looking for an experienced manager to join the GMED service on a permanent basis. Hosted by Health & Social Care Moray on behalf of Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City HSCPs, the Out Of Hours service provides clinical care to the population of Grampian between the hours of 18:00 – 08:00 Monday to Friday and over twenty four hours Saturday and Sunday and Public Holidays. Our service is one of the most challenging and complex parts of the healthcare system. The service employs over 500 medical, clinical and support staff who support the delivery of the out of care within the region. This role will play an integral part in supporting the Health Care Partnerships in transforming urgent care and the way in which it is delivered across the region. The postholder will be a member of the Senior Management Team and deputise for the Service Manager when required. The postholder will be assisting in the delivery of the day to day operations and support development of the strategic direction for the Service. The postholder will need to have a degree of flexibility to work evenings, weekends and Public Holidays as and when required. You will also join Senior Manager on Call rota (1 in 4 weeks) to respond to adverse events and incidents in the out of hours period. You should be IM&T literate and have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You should have previous experience of working in an out of hours service. The role is office based in Aberdeen although some travel to other centres across Grampian is expected. For this reason, a full, clean driving licence is essential.
