Located in the heart of the Niagara Region – just minutes from one of the world’s most well-known tourism destinations – Niagara College offers more than 130 innovative programs between our campuses in Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake. Applications are invited for the temporary position of part-time Recruitment Associate, Access & Inclusion in the Student Recruitment Division. The starting salary is $28.01 /hour for up to 24 hours per week. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. Campus location may vary but will be based at the Welland Campus. This is a temporary replacement position and is set to commence in August 2026 and conclude in May 2027. It may be subject to an extension by mutual agreement of the parties. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, Access and Inclusion, the successful candidate provides recruitment services and information to prospective student leads, applicants, and their supports (i.e. parents etc.) within marketplace variety of markets. This role ensures the information is accurate and captured properly within college systems, looks for student pipeline opportunities and facilitates ongoing engagement by making referrals to appropriate departmental staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning and executing recruitment activities in line with the recruitment cycle Capturing all activities and interactions with the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, following up on immediate questions and/or referring to other college service areas when necessary Meeting one on one with future Niagara College students to assist with post-secondary planning and ensuring that all supports and services are in place to assist with transition to post-secondary studies Working with the out of region team to assist with execution of email and calling campaigns to prospective students Coordinating logistical support for events associated with access and inclusion initiatives as part of the Ontario Educational Championship Team (OECT) and Ontario Post-secondary Access and Inclusion Program (OPAIP) funded projects Coordinating and participating in activities to maintain current information about college, programs and services to provide to target audiences, including high school visits and post-secondary information fairs Qualifications: Minimum 2-year diploma in any field of study Minimum 2 years experience in customer service, student engagement, student advising or career counselling Experience in an educational or post-secondary institution is an asset Working knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management system is an asset Proven ability to cultivate and maintain trusted client relationships, including one on one advising Familiarity working with individuals with diverse experiences and backgrounds Strong communication skills Niagara College is a place-based organization, and all positions are primarily based on campus.
