Our team strives to deliver high-quality care and service, ensuring a positive and supportive community for all. *Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and experienced *Cook* to join our team at our retirement residence. The successful candidate will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. *Responsibilities* * Prepare and serve appetizing, well-balanced meals according to planned menus. * Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. * Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations. * Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies. * Work collaboratively with the dietary and care teams to provide an exceptional dining experience. * Maintain accurate records related to food temperatures and kitchen sanitation. *Qualifications* * Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare, retirement, long-term care or hospitality setting. * Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain). * Knowledge of safe food preparation and sanitation practices. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. *What We Offer* * Competitive pay. * Supportive and friendly work environment. * Opportunities for professional growth and development. * Flexible scheduling. * Meaningful work making a positive difference in the lives of seniors.
