Child & Youth Mental Health FW Schumacher, Timmins Posted 3 days ago CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER – INTENSIVE SERVICES PROGRAM Full-time Position in Timmins (FW Schumacher) The Child and Youth Workers within the Intensive Service Program (ISP) are responsible to perform all direct work within its community-based live-in program for children and youth. Duties include, but are not limited to providing care and supporting the development of life skills and social skills for children and youth between the ages of 8-18 years of age. Other duties may also include intervention, monitoring and taking part in activities, completing records, logs and inventories, performing building safety and security checks, providing support to clients. Job Requirements (qualifications And Skills) Successful completion of a diploma and/or degree from an accredited College and/or University in Social Services, Human Services, Police Foundations, Community and Justice Program, Paramedic or Registered Practical Nursing (RPN) is preferred. A Personal Support Worker Certificates (Eight Months or longer) may also be considered. Must be willing and able to work flexible hours on an as-needed basis including days, evenings, and overnights. Must be willing to travel as necessary. Experience working with children, youth and families is considered an asset. Excellent interpersonal, time management, organizational and communication skills. Bilingualism (English /French) is required. Candidates must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license at the time of application and be willing to obtain a valid G Class driver’s license as a condition of employment or already possess a valid G Class driver’s license and have access to their own vehicle.
