Jr. Lead Hand - Mat Making (Internal Job Post)

Expected main duties will include but not be limited to: Team Safety: ensuring all team-members follow company safety procedures, pre-shift hoist inspections, wearing mandatory PPE, and reporting all work-related injuries/incidents. Target Achievement: ensuring each shift meets or exceeds its targets according to budget by maximizing available staff and reporting accurate information regarding any delays or why targets are not met. Pre-Shift Stretching: leading or delegating another team member to lead the stretching program prior to working – every shift. Communication: communicating with maintenance, supervisors, or first aiders immediately when problems or incidents arise Coaching/Guidance: ensuring each team-member is following company work procedures and performing with proper techniques, coaching them when necessary to get back on track. Quality: ensuring all team-members are prioritizing quality over quantity to minimize 2nd and 3rd grade products Trouble Shooting: understanding of work processes to trouble shoot and problem solve any issues that arise, communicate to maintenance team, and perform minor repairs if required. The Jr. Lead Hand is responsible for overseeing team safety, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high product quality standards. They will also provide coaching to team members and perform minor equipment repairs as needed.

The role requires an entry-level candidate capable of leading team activities and ensuring adherence to company safety and work procedures. Strong communication and troubleshooting skills are essential for managing daily production tasks.
