Position Summary Diagnostic Pathologist This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families. On a practical level, you will Sign out a wide range of Diagnostic Pathology cases. Maintain a high standard of practice including prompt delivery of services to match established key performance indicators and provincial metrics. Support the academic mandate of the hospital through teaching, participating in case conferences and other educational activities. Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement programs. Qualifications Licensed physician, or eligible for licensure, in the province of Ontario. Hold (or be eligible for) Royal College certification in Anatomic or General Pathology. Have (or be eligible for) an academic appointment with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. Experience in general surgical pathology and cytology. Expertise in Genitourinary and/or Head & Neck Pathology will be considered as an asset. Have a passion for service excellence and demonstrate a commitment to quality healthcare delivery and patient safety. Possess a strong history of collegiality with co-workers, Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuing medical education.
