Position Summary Seasonal Support, System Integration In this role, you will support health system change at NYTHP. You will be working to support NYTHP members from across the partnership, as well as actively engaging in the design and implementation of various initiatives. A key piece of this work will include supporting the development and implementation of NYTHP primary care access and attachment work including promotion of primary care access and attachment opportunities and health education for the wider community. You will also support key NYTHP initiatives such as the Community Health and Information Fairs (CHIFs) and cancer screening initiatives with a focus on improving the quality of care experienced across the care continuum and enhancing health equity. Through this role with NYGH and NYTHP, you will be working to re-design healthcare and foster innovation and creativity in response to the needs of the initiatives you support, and the community we as a hospital and a partnership are supporting. On a practical level, you will Assist with the design and implementation of NYTHP’s primary care access and attachment initiatives Support on-going NYTHP innovation initiatives such as the NYTHP CHIFs and cancer screening services with administrative support, simple data analysis, assisting with appointment bookings, preparing evaluation surveys and forms and logistical support. Assist select NYTHP planning and working groups Support engagement meetings/events and cross organizational meetings where appropriate through event planning and coordination efforts Assist with preparing a wide range of materials including agendas, minutes, invitations, reports, presentations, analyses, communications materials and other related documents for working groups and project touch-bases Support engagement with community and health system partners and community partners related to initiatives Qualifications Enrolment in a degree program in health care, life sciences, or business management (Third or fourth year within the program) Demonstrated interest in the health care sector and/or health policy. Ability to work as part of a team and independently. Communication (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills. Organization skills, time-management skills and attention to detail. Comfort with ambiguity. Experience using Canva and website content management systems Adept at using social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and X. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Forms. What We Offer Working at NYGHmeans working with a dynamic team of fellow health care providers, staff, and volunteers in one of Canada’s leading hospitals.This is a Part Time Temporary position of 7 Months with 8 hour shifts, Day shifts in the Ontario Health Team and Transformation Department. We offer a highly competitive total compensation package which includes pay in lieu of benefits, vacation pay and the opportunity to join the Hospital Pension Plan.
