REGISTERED NURSE (RN), AMBULATORY CARE

We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. In Accordance With The Established Mission, Vision, Values, And Strategic Priorities Of Northern Health, And Under The General Supervision Of Manager Or Designate, This Position Works Within The GR Baker Memorial Hospital And Quesnel Health Services To Plan, Implement, Deliver And Evaluate Services In Relation To Intravenous Therapy (IVT) assessment, education and treatment of patients of all ages who require outpatient IV Therapy Pulmonary Emboli Therapy Pre-delivery teaching for selected patients Stress Testing for selected patients Cancer Care Services including Chemotherapy The Ambulatory Care Nurse provides, coordinates, and implements nursing care including patient assessment, patient & family teaching, delivery of care, provision of health promotion information and navigation support to cancer patients, in accordance with established practices. As a member of the Ambulatory Care team, works closely with interdisciplinary team members including Medicine, Pharmacy, Social Work, Dietitian and Community Services staff. The responsibilities are carried out in accordance with standards, protocols, and agency expectations and the goals for professional nursing practice.

The nurse plans and delivers outpatient IV therapy, chemotherapy, and specialized treatments for patients of all ages. They coordinate care and provide navigation support for cancer patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary medical team.

The candidate must be a Registered Nurse capable of delivering compassionate patient care and health promotion. They must be able to work within established professional nursing standards and agency protocols.
