Join Northwood and be part of something bigger! Northwood Halifax is currently accepting applications for Culinary & Hospitality Stores Clerk. Responsibilities Supports the efficient operation of Culinary & Hospitality inventory and supply management. Coordinates ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of food and related supplies. Maintains accurate inventory records and ensures appropriate stock levels are maintained. Works collaboratively with internal departments and external vendors to meet operational needs. Ensures all processes align with organizational standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. Files orders, tracks invoices and organizes deliveries; fills orders and records details in the database system. Prepares purchase orders for replenishment of stock and places orders with vendors via phone, fax or online systems. Physically receives goods from suppliers; verifies quantities and condition against purchase orders and enters received items into the database. Ensures goods are stored appropriately in designated areas within the Culinary & Hospitality department. Rotates inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles. Works closely with the Manager and Production Supervisors to monitor inventory levels, re-order points and minimum stock levels. Matches vendor invoices with receiving reports and packing slips; forwards documentation for payment approval. Coordinates with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy of stock item pricing and updates. Ships supplies to external sites and organizations as required. Contacts suppliers to confirm delivery timelines and follow up on outstanding orders. Participates in annual inventory counts. Support, deliver and evaluate par stock levels on resident neighborhood kitchenettes Cooperates with other departments regarding supply and equipment requirements. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications High School Diploma Valid Nova Scotia Drivers License and ability to travel to other sites on occation Must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Capable of lifting, walking and pushing/pulling supply carts Basic math skills required Previous experience operating pallet jacks is considered an asset Intermediate computer skills required, including: Advanced Food Safety Certificate Able to lift up to 50lbs at a time Able to maintain regular and consistent attendance Salary: As per the Northwood Scale Department: Culinary & Hospitality Services Reporting to: Manager, Culinary & Hospitality Services Effective: Immediately Hours: 80 Hours Biweekly - 8 hour shifts Applications If you are interested in applying for this career opportunity please click APPLY!
