Req ID: 224558Location: Central Zone, Halifax Infirmary Robie Street Entrance - QEII Department: OPCZ Med/Surg Physiotherapy HIType of Employment: Casual Hourly FT short-assignment (100%) x 1 Union: NSGEU Healthcare PositionPosting Closing Date: 1-Sep-26About the Opportunity Reporting to the Program Manager of the Medical-Surgical and Heart Health department within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio the Physiotherapist is a member of a clinical team and collaborates with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participates in the evaluation of team effectiveness, solves problems, and shares responsibilities. The physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the public, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and pain management. The physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients in a tertiary care setting to address impairments, pain, and functional limitations. They also collaborate with clinical teams, educate patients and families, and supervise physiotherapy students and assistants.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy from an accredited university and maintain membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists. Current BCLS certification and strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills are also required.
