Req ID: 224144 Location: Central Zone, Nova Scotia Rehabilitation and Arthritis Centre - QEII Department: OPCZ Dir Clinical Services Rehab Type of Employment: Permanent Hourly FT (100%) x 1 Union: MGMT/NON-Union Management/Non Union Position Posting Closing Date: 1-Sep-26 About The Opportunity Reporting to the Director, The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director by effectively coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Director’s office. The position coordinates all administrative activities, establishes administrative procedures and guidelines and acts as a liaison with other administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority. This position provides support at times to the thirteen portfolio managers as well as additional support to individuals, committees or working groups as assigned, as well as supports other members of the portfolio as required. The position also connects with patients, families and community groups seeking information. About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program Undergraduate degree is an asset Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare Confidentiality must be maintained at all times; privy to confidential portfolio information such as human resource materials and financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Understands and works within the formal and informal influences and decision-making relationships within the organization. Brings to the attention of manager any issues affecting program effectiveness or efficiency. Self-starter in achieving position related goals. Takes action beyond explicit job responsibilities. Sets high performance goals, understands which decisions can be made alone and which require consultation with others and acts accordingly. Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred I skills test may be required as part of the selection process Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications. Hours Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Compensation And Benefits Pay Scale Type: NU02 Band: 2 Hourly Rate: $28.46 - $34.86 Annual Salary: $55,492.00 - $67,978.00 Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and travel insurance; long-term disability and life insurance coverage; and a defined benefit pension plan.
