Job Description Alderney Health Home is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from August 4th - 14th, 2026. Responsibilities delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members Remuneration guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day) additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded. accommodations up to $300 per night travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500) travel time up to 10 hours per week licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS) Qualifications all applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) all family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Additional Information Clinic Details Alderney Health Home is a collaborative family medicine clinic that provides comprehensive primary care to its community. The practice is comprised of 8 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners working together in a supportive team-based environment, alongside a dedicated family practice nurse who assists with chronic disease management, preventative care, and patient education. The clinic utilizes the Med Access EMR system to support efficient documentation, care coordination, and communication within the team. With an established panel of patients and experienced clerical staff in place, Needham Health Home offers a well-organized practice environment that supports both physicians and patients in delivering high-quality, accessible care Community Details Sister city to Halifax, Dartmouth is just a short ferry ride across Halifax Harbour from its bigger sibling. Exigences
Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada. Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is also required.
