Résumé du poste

Nova Accounting Inc. is an established, growing public accounting practice serving corporate, professional-services, and individual clients across the Lower Mainland. You will have the opportunity to develop your career in a close-knit, collaborative environment through a broad range of engagements, direct mentorship from experienced CPA partners, and hands-on ownership of client files from day one. Our tax and compliance team is trusted by corporate and professional-services clients, including law firms, for its expertise across compiled financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, T3 trust filings, and specialized trust accounting. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Tax Senior Accountant to join us to support the full scope of our tax and trust engagements. You will be joining a team that manages client relationships through the full compliance cycle, from compiled financial statements and working papers through to corporate, personal, and trust tax return preparation, CRA correspondence, and, for our law firm clients, LSBC Accountant's Trust Reports and trust accounting. Your Key Responsibilities As a Tax Senior Accountant, you will be a senior point of contact for a portfolio of corporate and professional-services clients, working closely with our partners and reviewing the work of junior staff. You'll apply your technical skills to review compiled financial statements and corporate tax returns, prepare T1, T2 and T3 returns, and manage special correspondence and filings with the CRA. For our law firm clients, you'll prepare Accountant's Trust Reports and perform trust accounting and reconciliations in line with LSBC requirements. Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple client files and deadlines are essential to succeeding in this role. Skills and Attributes for Success, You Are: An organized, detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of client files from start to finish. Comfortable liaising directly with the CRA and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients. A clear communicator, able to explain tax and compliance matters to clients in plain language. Collaborative, with a genuine interest in mentoring and reviewing the work of junior staff. Highly motivated to build long-term, trusted relationships with a diverse client base. Comfortable managing multiple client files and competing deadlines with strong organizational skills. To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have: 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, with hands-on ownership of compiled financial statements and corporate/personal tax returns. Experience preparing T3 trust returns. Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian compilation/review standards. Comfort liaising directly with the CRA on client matters. Ideally, You'll Also Have: Experience with LSBC trust accounting and Accountant's Trust Reports, or trust accounting for law firm/professional clients. CPA designation, or progress towards one. Familiarity with CaseWare, TaxPrep, or similar tax and compilation software.
