Job Description This posting is for an existing opening. Responsibilities: Inspect all machined and fabricated jobs to ensure compliance with drawing, process and customer specifications Monitor in-process jobs throughout the shop to prevent non-conformance issues Inspect items received from a sub-contracted process prior to the release to customer or to the next process in order to ensure compliance with drawing, process and customer specifications Prepare and maintain quality documents such as but not limited to certificates of compliance or dimensional reports as per customer requirements Maintain a calibration system for all company owned and employee owned measuring instruments Assist and troubleshoot employee production issues relating to drawing and process interpretation and proper measurement techniques Promote high expectations, efficiency and safety in the work environment Operating measuring equipment according to established procedures Identify irregularities in parts and non-conformance to quality standards Prepare and manage non-conformance reports as per written quality policies and procedures Assist in the investigation and resolution of non-conformance issues Assist in the creation, implementation and monitoring of ISO 9001 policies and procedures Liaise with customers and vendors regarding quality issues Be prepared to report to President at any time on the current status of the project under your control and communicate critical information to coworkers Assist with training of new and existing employees on proper usage of measuring equipment and ISO Quality Policies and Procedures Qualifications Qualifications: 10+ years of work experience in a machine and fabrication shop environment or engineering department of a manufacturer with heavy machining capabilities. Interpret blue print drawings and accurately read various measuring tools. Understanding of machinery and equipment and material tolerances. Solid understanding of quality control and working to quality standards.
