Job Description Toronto area manufacturer of natural health and wellness products seeks a hands-on production leader to manage gummy manufacturing. Reporting to the President, this role ensures schedules, quality, and compliance targets are consistently met. Responsibilities Oversee daily/weekly production scheduling to meet demand requirements (via Netsuite). Track efficiency, downtime, and yield; correct variances quickly. Set up SOPs and ensure GMP and Health Canada compliance documentation and audit readiness. Enforce safety procedures and allergen controls. Lead, coach, and evaluate production staff and a maintenance technician. Implement Lean practices and process improvements to reduce waste and increase output. Collaborate with R&D to test and scale new formulations. Track cost, labour, and inventory accuracy in coordination with Supply Chain. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS. BS or Diploma in Engineering, Food Science, or similar discipline; or related experience considered. 6 - 10 years in regulated manufacturing (nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical, gummy preferred). Min 2-4 years supervising teams in a managerial capacity. Molding, depositing, or cooking experience. Knowledge of GMP, Health Canada NHP regulations. Regulatory, quality, OEE tracking, and production planning tools. Strong leadership and communication skills in a fast-moving environment. Preferred Background in nutraceutical, gummy, or confectionery production. SSGB or similar continuous improvement training. Experience in leading new product manufacture scaling up or starting new production lines. Fluency in Mandarin is an asset. This is a senior role, with a salary range of $100K to $120K CAD.
