Our Design Engineer team scales this expertise through advanced electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation & control (I&C) design practices to clients across Canada. 🧠 The Role The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality electrical design solutions for nuclear facilities. In this role, you will lead complex electrical design scopes, provide technical direction and oversight, and serve as a trusted engineering partner to clients. You will apply deep electrical engineering expertise to guide projects from concept through detailed design, while mentoring junior engineers, driving continuous improvement in design practices, and championing innovation in how nuclear electrical design work is executed. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to the client site in Bruce County, as required by project needs. Salary Range: $130-165k (Exact compensation may vary). 🎯 What You’ll Drive Provide technical leadership and engineering judgment, including defining electrical design approaches, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring alignment with safety, regulatory, and project requirements. Prepare, review, and approve electrical engineering deliverables in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Act as a technical interface with clients, vendors, regulators, and internal stakeholders, supporting design reviews, technical meetings, and issue resolution. Collaborate across disciplines to define and achieve the required functionality, performance, reliability, availability, and maintainability of electrical systems and equipment. Support and mentor junior engineers by providing guidance, design oversight, and constructive technical feedback. Work closely with QA and project teams to address design issues, support audits and reviews, and ensure overall design quality.
