NUMIS CPAs is looking for an experienced and detailed Manager to join our team! Reporting to the Partners, the Manager will mainly focus on growing our assurance line, high level prep and first review of compilations as well as manage our team in Airdrie, Alberta. Responsibilities Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of accounting and office staff in our Airdrie location Support our Partner with leading and managing assurance engagements including audits, reviews, and compilations Oversee engagement planning, risk assessment, execution, and completion Review financial statements and working papers to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm quality requirements Serve as a point of contact for clients and maintain strong, trusted relationships Review compliation engagements and various other accounting assignments Manage file progress and workflow Review working papers and support for the completion of financial statements Review corporate and individual tax returns Review sales tax returns Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services Qualifications CPA Designation is a requirement 3+ years with relevant public practice experience, with experience managing a team Experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint) Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online and SharePoint considered an asset Strong written and oral communication skills in English Excellent time management skills The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team when required Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities Why work at NUMIS?
