Responsibilities View English and Inuktitut version Responsible for menu planning in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide and the Provincial School Food Guidelines and including traditional foods whenever possible. Overseeing the preparation of meals daily (or according to agreed upon schedule) for school aged children, following safe food handling and sanitation and guidelines. Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of all food storage and food service areas including stove and refrigerators. Maintaining monthly inventory of food and supplies. Purchasing and arranging for food pick up including freight pick up. Program evaluation in the form of compiling & submitting monthly statistics and program activity reports to the Food Security Coordinator Training as required Other related duties as required. Qualifications Commercial Cooking Program Certificate 1-2 years of relevant experience Ability to prepare traditional foods Possession of a Valid Driver’s License Assets Bilingual in Inuktitut and English Benefits Competitive Paid Leave Package Travel Benefit Labrador Allowance Group pension Department: Health and Social Development Location: Nain Term: Temporary Part-Time (Seasonal) Closing Date: August 18, 2026 How To Apply Please submit your resume to careers@nunatsiavut.com.
