In Nunavik, located above the 55th parallel in northern Quebec, there are 14 Inuit communities spread over more than 443,000 km2 of territory. On this vast land, managing housing is an everyday challenge. At the Nunavik Housing Bureau (NHB), our mission is to provide comfortable, safe and affordable homes adapted to Inuit needs and culture. Since 1999, together with our partners, we have contributed to the development of northern housing in Nunavik. Through our programs and services, we actively participate in the development of vibrant, sustainable and safe communities. We house 98% of Nunavik’s population, for a total of nearly 14,000 people. With our team of about 225 employees (75% of whom are Inuit), we work together to meet the needs of our tenants by putting their comfort and well-being at the heart of our actions.
