Résumé du poste
About Nurturing Roots Nurturing Roots Wellness is a holistic, nervous-system-informed wellness clinic in Midland, Ontario. We believe healing happens when the whole person is supported — not just the symptoms they're experiencing. Our approach brings together the mind, body, nervous system, relationships, and the experiences that shape us. Our team currently includes psychotherapists, an osteopath, and a somatic/Reiki practitioner, and we're continuing to grow thoughtfully. We’re a small, close-knit team that genuinely values connection, collaboration, and creating a space where both clients and practitioners feel supported. We don't believe in rushing people through their healing. We believe in creating safe relationships, offering personalized care, and helping people better understand themselves and their nervous systems. The Opportunity We’re looking for a Registered Social Worker to join our team on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time role as your caseload develops. We want to be transparent: a full caseload isn't waiting for you on day one. This is an opportunity to build something over time through referrals, community relationships, marketing support, and the reputation Nurturing Roots continues to build in Midland and Simcoe County. We’re looking for someone who isn't simply looking for a place to fill a few hours, but someone who is interested in finding a long-term clinical home and growing alongside the practice. If you’ve been wanting the flexibility of private practice without having to build everything completely on your own, this may be a really good fit. What You'll Bring Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) Experience supporting adults with anxiety, stress, burnout, trauma, parenting challenges, or life transitions A grounded, compassionate, and client-centred approach An interest in nervous-system-informed and whole-person care EMDR training is a strong asset, although it is not required A willingness to continue learning and developing your clinical skills Comfort working independently while also being part of a collaborative team A genuine interest in building relationships with clients and contributing to the growth of the practice Most importantly, we're looking for someone who believes that good therapy starts with a strong therapeutic relationship and that people deserve to feel genuinely understood. What the Role Looks Like You’ll provide individual psychotherapy to adult clients experiencing concerns such as: Anxiety and chronic stress Burnout and overwhelm Trauma and difficult life experiences Parenting challenges Life transitions Self-worth and personal growth Nervous system dysregulation Relationship and family challenges You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own clinical niche while working within Nurturing Roots’ broader nervous-system-informed, whole-person approach. You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside our existing practitioners, including psychotherapists, an osteopath, and a somatic/Reiki practitioner. We want collaboration to be something you actually experience — not just something written on a website. What We Offer A supportive clinical environment - You won't be expected to figure everything out on your own. We offer regular check-ins, team connection, and a culture where asking questions, sharing ideas, and supporting one another is encouraged. Flexibility - Start part-time at approximately 2–3 days per week, with the ability to increase your hours as your caseload grows. Support in building your caseload - You won't be completely on your own when it comes to finding clients. Nurturing Roots has an established website, marketing efforts, community relationships, and an existing reputation that will support continued growth. A multidisciplinary environment - You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside practitioners who approach wellness from different perspectives, allowing for thoughtful collaboration and, where appropriate, integrated care. Room to grow - As Nurturing Roots continues to grow, there will be opportunities to expand your caseload, develop your areas of specialization, and potentially transition into a full-time role. A practice that values your wellbeing - We believe that practitioners need space to be human too. We want to build a practice where you can do meaningful work without feeling like you have to constantly push, hustle, or compete. Compensation - This is a contractor position with a fee-split arrangement. We’re happy to discuss the specific fee-split, expectations, and structure during the interview process so that there is transparency and alignment from the beginning. A Note From Ashley, Founder of Nurturing Roots I started Nurturing Roots because I believe people deserve care that looks at the whole picture — not just the symptoms they're experiencing, but their nervous system, their body, their relationships, and the story underneath it all. Over time, Nurturing Roots has grown into something that feels bigger than just my own practice, and I'm at a point where I want to continue building a team of people who genuinely share that vision. I'm not looking for someone who simply wants to take on a few clients. I'm hoping to find someone who wants to become part of the Nurturing Roots community and grow with us over time. I also want to be honest about what that looks like. I won't pretend there is a full caseload waiting on day one. Building a practice takes time, and we're still growing. What I can promise is that you'll have a team that's genuinely in your corner, support as you build your caseload, and a practice where collaboration and wellbeing actually matter. If you're looking for a place where you can do meaningful clinical work, be yourself, continue growing as a practitioner, and feel connected to the people you're working alongside, I'd love to hear from you. To Apply Please send your resume and a short note sharing a little about yourself, your clinical experience, and what draws you to nervous-system-informed and holistic care. We'd love to hear from you.
