Asphalt Finish Roller & Wobbly Operator

O’Hanlon Paving's Paving crews (Operators & Labourers) are growing and we are looking for enthusiastic & experienced Finish Roller Operator to work seasonally in a seasonal full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. Responsibilities: * Assist the crews with Equipment Operator or labourer duties * Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour and use of hands and tools * Safe operation of equipment such as Wobbly, Roller operators or packers * Work with minimal supervision * Perform daily safety and maintenance checks * Other duties as required Qualifications: * 2 years experience in operation of construction related equipment such as wobbly, packer or finished roller will be an asset; OR * Some labourer experience assisting crews and operating construction equipment will be an asset; * Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment and municipal road building industry; * Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time; * Open to training & learning equipment for growth opportunity; * Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to job sites; * High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions; * Ability to work in varying weather conditions; * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; * Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends; * Valid safety certifications. Additional Information: * This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year * This position is eligible for over-time * Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required * Training will be provided for various activities * We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season) * Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season The Fath Group is an equal opportunity employer. Requires 2 years of experience in operating construction equipment and a valid class 5 driver's license. Candidates must be able to work in varying weather conditions and be available for extended hours and weekends.
