O’Hanlon Paving, a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We are currently looking for an experienced and safety conscious Asphalt Plant Grounds Person, to work seasonally in a full-time capacity at our Acheson, Alberta plant. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. Responsibilities: * Assist co-workers with operating equipment as well as some plant work * Operating equipment in a safe manner following transportation driving laws * Cleaning of all scales, garbage, housekeeping around fuel tanks (willing to use a shovel) * Ensuring all signage is intact around the plant/yard * When required, assist with directing traffic, greasing and washing of equipment & trucks and maintenance on various plants in yard i.e., KMA, asphalt and cement Qualifications: * Some experience working in a construction company as a labourer will be an asset * Some experience with small construction equipment such as bobcats, skid steers, loaders will be required * Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license * Minimum High School education or equivalent * Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure * High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions * Ability to work in varying weather conditions * Ability to use smart phones and testing features * Ability to work independently with little supervision * Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends Additional Information: * This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time. * Opportunity for local employment within Edmonton . * Training will be provided for various activities. * We offer excellent wages and a health and benefits plan with the eligibility to participate after 3 months.
