Desired Start Date: September 8, 2026 Position End Date: December 11, 2026 Salary Range: $18.42 Bargaining Unit: Support - Student Appointment Type: Non-Regular On-Call Posting Closing Date: September 20, 2026 Schedule: Approximately four hours per week, plus flagship events. Additional Work Locations: May need to travel within Kelowna region. \n Your Opportunity In accordance with Letter of Understanding #1 – Student Employees, and under the direct supervision of the designated supervisor, the Student Assistant – Recruitment and Events, will assist the Recruitment department and the Campus Administration with event set-up; provide general tours; and at events will greet attendees, provide assistance at check-in if required, and other assistance as needed. Functions and Duties The Student will assist the supervisor by performing the following duties: · Assist with preparing recruitment materials for upcoming events and initiatives · Support inventory management by tracking recruitment supplies and identifying items that need to be replenished · Assist with campus tours and welcoming prospective students to campus · Accompany Future Student Advisors on visits to local high schools · Support recruitment events and other student engagement activities as needed Education and Experience Enrolled in a Post-Secondary program at Okanagan College. Public speaking and presentation skills are an asset Skills and Abilities - Proficiency in the use of a variety of computer software applications - Works effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Well-developed organizational skills -Detail-oriented.
