About the role Marketing Science is a key element of the future evolution of Omnicom media’s offering. We work to connect the media we plan and execute with our client’s business outcomes. Establishing that relationship requires data-focused capabilities across 3 areas: Strategy: We help define opportunity. Insight: We lead analytics Action: We define measurement and communicate results OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Marketing Science team is responsible for guiding the insights and analytics practice for OMD’s highest profile clients. We work closely with agency partners to shape the strategic direction of our clients through data driven insights, business analytics, and performance driven media measurement. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE The Marketing Science team encompasses a wide array of functions, but in general, we use data to provide our client’s marketing teams a competitive advantage with strategic and tactical insights, and define and measure the success of marketing programs. As a Business Analyst, you will lead reporting and analysis for a wide range of campaigns, from Always On to Product Launches, to big Brand campaigns. With guidance from the rest of the MarSci team, you will be responsible for: Developing insights through direct analysis of marketing and business data, inclusive of: Media reporting from digital channels, (i.e. inclusive of costs, impressions, clicks, video metrics, conversions) Business performance data – such as transactions, revenue, guest count Media Mix Modelling (MMM) results Primary Research, such as Ad tracking solutions, Brand Lift Studies Test & Learns and Incrementality studies Own Reporting workstream, including: Designing templates and managing data inputs from existing dashboards and media platforms. Authoring post-campaign, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting. Liaising with Activation Teams to assess results and identify opportunities for optimization. Working with Strategy Teams to craft the final narrative around the data for the report. Share and present findings to client – communicate clearly with client about performance, key insights, recommendations, and opportunities. Work with other MarSci team members to: Ensure that suite of dashboards and insights tools can be optimally purposed for reporting needs. Collaborate on measurement frameworks/learning agendas for defining and measuring program success. Set benchmarks and targets for campaign performance. Contribute to test design and setup, including writing proposals and coordinating with internal and external parties. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES You have at least 3 years of experience in analytics, media, or consulting roles. You have a track record of uncovering actionable insights from data. You have experience at, and are comfortable with, working at client-facing roles. As a Business Analyst, you have a background in data analysis, performance marketing, digital analytics, media planning/strategy, or something along those lines. You are generally what people would call a “numbers person”, and have a very high level of competency in Excel. Experience with dashboarding solutions such as Salesforce MCI, Looker, or Tableau is a plus. You are a strong communicator – written, visually, and verbally. It will be your role to help non-data experts easily understand what the data is saying. You understand how to craft a deck narrative and structure a presentation. Finally, you take pride in the quality of your work, yet you remain curious and are never done learning. You work hard to earn and keep client trust, and you don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results This is an active vacancy. Expected Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Omnicom Media is providing the compensation range that the company is willing to pay for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
