QA Engineer

We are seeking a talented QA Engineer with deep expertise in comprehensive testing and test automation to join our high-performing engineering team, working remotely within Canada. In this pivotal role, you will champion the quality and reliability of our web and mobile client-facing applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams in an Agile environment to build, execute, and integrate robust test strategies that ensure reliable, high-quality product releases. What You’ll be Doing: Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for various product features. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for front-end applications and APIs/back end services using industry-standard frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright. Conduct comprehensive permutations and combinations and exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and maximize feature coverage. Monitor the CI/CD regression testing pipeline. Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs through to resolution for the product releases. Cross-functional collaboration with Product Management and Engineering on acceptance criteria and solution designs. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Must Haves: 5+ years of proven experience in Software Quality Assurance. Hands-on experience building UI automation using Cypress and Playwright Hands-on experience building API service test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, or Postman. Strong understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows and best practices. Deep knowledge of QA fundamentals, software testing best practices, and standard test management tools such as Zephyr or TestRail Demonstrated experience working effectively within Scrum and Kanban frameworks. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in Software QA with hands-on expertise in Cypress, Playwright, and API automation. Experience in Fintech or Financial Services and a strong understanding of CI/CD workflows are required.
