Site Supervisor - ICI Construction

We’re currently looking to grow our site supervision team. ONIT Construction is seeking a Site Supervisor with a minimum of 3 years of relevant ICI supervisory experience. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a leadership position and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment. Our clients include the University of Toronto, Durham Region, the City of Toronto, the City of Brampton, Niagara Region, and others. We are COR certified and committed to maintaining a strong safety culture across all project sites. ROLE OVERVIEW As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day site operations with a strong focus on safety, coordination, quality, and schedule. Our projects primarily consist of small to mid-sized ICI renovations, retrofits, additions, and facility upgrades. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients to help ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and on budget. Our head office is located in Burlington, and travel to project sites throughout the GTHA and surrounding areas is required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate trades, subcontractors, equipment, deliveries, and site activities • Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, consultants, and clients • Enforce company safety policies and applicable Ontario regulations • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly site documentation • Communicate regularly with the project management and health and safety teams • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Monitor workmanship, quality, site progress, and overall coordination • Identify and communicate site issues, delays, and required corrective actions • Maintain a proactive, organized, and safety-first approach REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum 3 years of relevant ICI site supervisory experience • Valid Ontario G-Class driver’s licence • Strong knowledge of Ontario construction safety requirements and regulations • Experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, equipment, and deliveries • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications • Comfortable working in a hands-on construction environment • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work occasional extended hours based on project requirements ASSETS • Experience working within a COR-certified health and safety system • Familiarity with SiteDocs or another digital health and safety platform • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic digital tools • Valid Working at Heights certification • Valid First Aid and CPR certification • Basics of Supervising training Training will be provided where required. Candidates must have at least 3 years of relevant ICI site supervisory experience and a valid Ontario G-Class driver's licence. Strong knowledge of Ontario construction safety regulations and the ability to interpret construction drawings are essential.
