POSITION: Spare Storesperson REPORTS TO: Stores Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Strategic Procurement LOCATION: North Bay REFERENCE: 800-107-27 RATE OF PAY: $26.34 to $29.27 per hour (Increases set out as per the collective agreement. ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT: The Storesperson will work to receive, document, organize, issue, pack and ship supplies and material used in operation of Ontario Northland. MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Issue materials according to requisitions Identify, verify and ensure the accuracy of shipments received according to purchase orders Accurately records transactions, updates forms, records, reports and documents either manually or electronically on a computer Ship and store materials in appropriate location on shelves Load and unload materials from or into railcars, trailers, and trucks Operate forklift or other material handling equipment and perform daily inspection of vehicles and equipment Conduct inventory counts Upload Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)/Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Janitorial duties Required to work outdoors in all weather REQUIREMENTS: Secondary School Diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED) Valid G Licence and ability to drive stores vehicles when required Experience in shipping and receiving Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Previous experience with a computerized purchasing inventory system an asset Strong computer and keyboarding skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written) Demonstrated ability to work in both a team and safety-conscious environment Previous janitorial experience an asset Previous experience operating a forklift an asset Committed to Company Health and Safety standards and practices APPLICATION PROCESS: The successful candidate will need to pass the following clearances: criminal record check, employment references and education verification.
