The organization is looking for a Senior Data Engineer contractor to shape their data infrastructure, supporting analytics and business intelligence efforts. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities: Analyze and interpret data to provide insights for stakeholders. Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for workflow optimization. Enhance ETL processes for data transformation and accessibility. Implement and uphold data architecture best practices. Integrate data across applications for batch and real-time processes. Utilize cloud tools to manage data infrastructure. Collaborate with analysts and scientists for data solution alignment. Adhere to data governance and quality standards. This Role Requires You To Have Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering. Proficiency in SQL and ETL development. Experience with Python and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or BigQuery. Strong communication skills in English. You Would Benefit From Having Expertise in scalable data architectures. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of data processing and streaming solutions. Familiarity with data visualization tools and web analytics. A legal requirement exists for a background check and the ability to travel to Guelph, Ontario, twice weekly. A contract starts in April 2025 for one year.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in data engineering. Proficiency in SQL, ETL development, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is required.
