Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Kanata, ON Duration: 8 months with possibility of extension ** Machining experience is a mandatory requirement. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

The Mechanical Design Engineer designs, develops, and tests mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. They may also be involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical products.
