Mechanical Engineer - SABRE (McClean Lake) Reporting to the Chief Mine Engineer Orano Canada is a leading producer of uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy! You’ll be involved with strategic planning and hands-on execution, as you assess and develop new ore zones to bring into production while embracing the safe and effective implementation of the SABRE mining technique. You’ll navigate immediate and long-term challenges to achieve production targets, while collaborating with consulting engineers to deliver innovative designs. Responsibilities include: Mining: Assist with annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting Recommend and implement department engineering processes and procedures Project Management: Support McClean Lake Mining (MLM) in safely achieving production targets, while addressing short and long-term challenges Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in the development and execution of engineered designs and projects Assist in managing project delivery, including costs, schedules, quality, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) Understand and administer management of change (MOC) to facility changes Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures Promote and adhere to Orano Canada’s values: Safety and Security, Team Spirit and Cohesion, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, Ethics, Transparency and Dialogue, Respect and People Development Skills and Qualifications for the position include: A university degree in Engineering; mining specialization is preferred.
