Description Description Mine Utility Person (Experienced) - Temporary (McClean Lake) Orano Canada is a leading producer of uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy! As we expand our team and take on exciting new projects in Saskatchewan’s North, we invite you to be a part of our team! Priority will be given to qualified Athabasca residents Responsibilities include: Under the direction of a senior employee, Mine Utility Person duties such as: Work on the Rig floor of a drilling rig for the operation of tripping pipe Assist the Rig Driller to assemble and disassemble the drill rig Assist the Driller to reposition the drill rig Monitoring and Operating Centrifuges for solids separation Monitoring Drill Rig Mud Pumps and performing Daily Checks Service and Monitor Solid Separation systems. Other site duties and tasks as required Conduct all duties required in a safe and efficient manner Successfully complete training in the following areas: confined space entry, fall protection, lockout, WHMIS, radiation Actively participate in weekly safety huddles Embrace and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures Promote and adhere to Orano’s Values: Safety and Security, Team Spirit and Cohesion, Continuous Improvement, Customer Satisfaction, Ethics, Transparency and Dialogue, Respect and People Development Skills and Qualifications for the position include: Residents of Saskatchewan’s North (RSN) applicants will be given preference Possess Grade 12 or equivalent Must have total three years’ experience working on a drilling rig and have held the position of Motorman or Derrick hand Some mechanical aptitude is required to understand some equipment operation, for example, pumps, valves, filters, agitators, etc. Experience with centrifuges, shaker systems, mud pumps, boilers and pipe handlers Valid Class 5 or Class 5 Northern Restricted driver’s license is required Must have good communication skills Must be dependable and have the ability to work independently Work Location & Schedule: McClean Lake Site 14 days in and 14 days out rotating schedule Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside or normal working hours may be required This position is physically demanding May be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) Ability to work rotating shifts (days and nights) Wage: $41.01 per hour Fly Day- This position will fly in and fly out on Fridays Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston. As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks. Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use. Exigences

Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and three years of experience on a drilling rig, preferably as a Motorman or Derrick hand. A valid Class 5 driver's license and some mechanical aptitude are also required.
