FCC Electrical is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Kennebec Construction Services Limited’s three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling. At FCC Electrical, we’re not a standard electrical contractor — our work sets us apart. Our teams take on some of the most interesting industrial and commercial projects in the region, including DND specialized projects, petroleum facilities, solar installations, sawmills, steel mills, wastewater and water treatment plants, mining operations, and more. We are currently accepting applications from Apprentice Electricians interested in joining our established Saint John based team. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What You’ll Learn & Do Working alongside and under the guidance of a Journeyman Electrician, you will learn how to: * Read and understand drawings, circuit diagrams, electrical code, and project specifications. * Troubleshoot electrical issues using proper testing devices. * Repair and replace equipment, wiring, fixtures, and controls. * Install PVC, EMT, and galvanized steel conduit systems. * Install and repair distribution equipment such as switchboards, panelboards, and disconnect switches. * Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll gain real-world experience on projects that help power communities and industries across Atlantic Canada. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Education & Requirements * High school diploma or Grade 12 equivalent. * Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. * Ability to travel and work away from home (hotel stays may be required; travel costs compensated). * Comfortable working at heights and on ladders. * Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. * Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORK SCHEDULE Our electrical project teams typically work a 4-day week — 10-hour days, Monday to Thursday — giving you long weekends most weeks.
