The Technical Product Coordinator will perform product and component data entry and maintenance as required by the Product Lifecycle Management processes, coordinate departmental tasks and provide technical support as required during the product development, integration and qualification test activities. The Technical Product Coordinator will collaborate with other departments, including Hardware Engineering, Production and Purchasing, to ensure data integrity of OSI’s product data base, PDX. What You'll Do Metadata input for Hardware Products, this may involve consulting with engineers to find the appropriate source of data; Raising, and managing Engineering Change Requests and Notices to maintain strict Configuration Management on engineering products; Coordinate the departmental JIRA issue logging for external support requests and provide technical support for Product Design, Prototyping and Testing. Carries out authority as a reviewer on the revision and release of parts and documents in the PDX database. Applies judgment and makes decisions on the best way to handle any part or part documentation issues in PDX. Ensures established processes are followed in the product/component selection process. Timely, prudent judgment must be exercised to address unusual exceptions to the established procedures in order to prevent potentially unlimited contractual, legal and financial risks to the corporation. The ability to properly refer matters to other experts when required is critical. Expected to understand the Company’s objectives and limitations.
