Inspire the Next Generation. We're looking for an energetic, relationship-focused professional to join our team as our High School & Community Engagement Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys travelling, and wants to make a lasting impact by increasing awareness of Oulton College and driving student enrollment across our diverse portfolio of programs. What You'll Do As the High School & Community Engagement Officer, you will serve as one of Oulton College's key ambassadors. You'll build strong partnerships with high schools, guidance counsellors, teachers, community organizations, and employment agencies while promoting our programs and supporting prospective students throughout their decision-making journey. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain strong relationships with high schools, guidance counsellors, teachers, career practitioners, community organizations, and employment agencies. Represent Oulton College at career fairs, trade shows, open houses, information sessions, community events, and recruitment activities. Plan and deliver engaging presentations, classroom visits, lunch-and-learn sessions, and campus tours. Develop recruitment strategies that increase awareness and enrollment across all programs Travel throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new recruitment opportunities. Support annual provincial recruitment initiatives, including High School Tours, AARAO events, and other post-secondary recruitment activities. Work collaboratively with the Marketing team for any promotional material Stay informed on labour market trends and emerging workforce needs to effectively communicate career opportunities to prospective students. Travel Requirement: This role requires extensive travel during the peak recruitment period (approximately late September through late November), including visits to high schools across New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Nova Scotia (approximately 8 weeks). Additional occasional day travel within New Brunswick will be required throughout the remainder of the year to support recruitment and engagement activities. Requirements Minimum of a college diploma in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Experience in marketing, recruitment, communications, education, sales, or community engagement. Experience presenting to groups and building professional relationships. Experience planning events or promotional initiatives is considered an asset. Soft Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging marketing and promotional materials. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Highly organized with excellent time management skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Passion for helping students achieve their educational and career goals. Bilingualism (English/French) is considered a strong asset. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada.
