Posting Close Date: 09/24/2026 Ovintiv’s comprehensive summer program is designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As a summer employee, you will work closely with an experienced mentor and be assigned a value-adding project and other responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv. Supply Management Services is a strategic function within Ovintiv. We work closely with other internal teams and with our suppliers and contractors to achieve our objectives and ensure our supply chain is a source of competitive advantage. The Opportunity: Supply Management Students will work with experienced professionals on a specific project, such as: Sourcing products and identifying a preferred supplier(s) to generate cost savings by leveraging Ovintiv’s buying power. Gather and evaluate vendor information to identify gaps and opportunities in specific sourcing categories. Analyze category spend data to inform future sourcing opportunities. Examine and compare vendor contract terms to identify and address potential risks. Required Qualifications: Enrolled as a full-time student, pursuing a Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science or Engineering degree through December 2027 Available May 3, 2027 - August 18, 2027 Possess a clear interest in working in the oil and gas industry. You must be legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of your work term without sponsorship. In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role. Hiring Hourly Range: $22.81 - $31.59 CAD Compensation may vary and will be determined by year in school and degree. In addition, our program incorporates several other components to deliver a comprehensive experience: Lunch & learns to broaden your exposure to Ovintiv and foster a greater understanding of the energy industry. A one-day service project to experience Ovintiv’s commitment to the communities where we work and operate. Other social events to expand your network and interaction with other Ovintiv and industry individuals. The opportunity to engage with different teams and disciplines, as well as to visit the field locations, to gain a deeper understanding of the work the Supply Chain team does and the impact it has.
