Détails du poste

Position Summary The Payroll Administrator & Systems Support is the Toronto plant’s primary resource for payroll and timekeeping administration, and the on-site coordination point for IT services. This is a payroll-anchored role, split roughly 65% payroll, timekeeping, and HR systems administration and 35% site IT coordination. We are looking for proven payroll expertise; the IT coordination component is developed on the job, in partnership with the Corporate IT Service Desk and specialized technical teams. Reports to the HR Analytics Lead, Canada, with a dotted line to Toronto Plant HR. Works closely with Plant HR, plant supervisors, and Corporate IT. Key Responsibilities Payroll and Timekeeping (~65%) Serve as the site process expert and system administrator for UKG timekeeping; review timecards, pay codes, overtime, and exceptions, resolving discrepancies ahead of payroll deadlines. Enter restricted pay and deduction codes on approved instruction, and coordinate transactions with Corporate Payroll, including tax changes, direct-deposit updates, garnishments, and deductions. Administer vacation tracking for hourly employees — balances, payouts, carryovers, and reconciliations — and prepare quarterly reporting as required. Answer employee and supervisor questions on pay, timekeeping, overtime, and UKG use, and train them through system upgrades and process changes. Maintain employee records, payroll procedures, and local process controls, protecting the confidentiality and security of employee, payroll, and benefits information. Escalate complex payroll or system issues to the HR Analytics Lead or Corporate Payroll, support system testing and upgrades, and help standardize payroll processes across Canadian plants. Site IT Coordination (~35%) Act as the on-site point for end-user computing: deployment, setup, imaging, replacement, and recovery of laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals, plus IT asset inventory, lifecycle records, and periodic audits reconciled to corporate records. Provide first-line troubleshooting for hardware, software, printing, access, and connectivity issues, including plant applications such as Ignition, Proficy, Aspen, I-POP, and Avigilon; log, track, and escalate through the Corporate IT Service Desk. Coordinate IT equipment, software, and account access for new hires, transfers, and separations, in line with established approval and security procedures. Coordinate telephony and network requests, including Cisco and analog moves and changes, with Corporate IT and external providers. Follow corporate cybersecurity and acceptable-use requirements, and promptly report suspected security incidents, lost equipment, or unauthorized access. Education and Experience Required Diploma or degree in Payroll, Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of payroll and timekeeping administration, including responsibility for pay-cycle deadlines. Hands-on experience administering UKG or Kronos timekeeping. Comfort with technology and a willingness to develop site IT coordination capability. Preferred Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or other operational environment. Experience with payroll audits, compliance documentation, and HRIS. Experience supporting Windows devices, Microsoft 365, printers, and mobile devices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High attention to detail, with a strong commitment to payroll accuracy, data integrity, confidentiality, and security. Ability to manage competing priorities against fixed, recurring payroll deadlines. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish process, access, hardware, software, and application issues and route them appropriately. Strong customer-service orientation, with the ability to explain payroll and technical matters clearly to employees and leaders. Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote payroll, HR, and technical teams; proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams. Understanding & speaking French is an asset Working Conditions On-site role in a manufacturing plant, with movement between office, production, and equipment areas in line with plant-safety requirements.
