We Currently Have Openings For A High School Math Teacher A French Teacher Someone who can teach both Math and French would be a fantastic bonus! At Oxford Learning, strong subject knowledge matters, but so does personality. Our teachers need to connect with students, build their confidence, and make learning enjoyable. The right candidate will be dependable, positive, and comfortable working with students of different ages and learning needs. Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements All Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (3:30pm - 8:00pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of the term in June 2027 is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements: Education Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience, or enrolled in a masters program, will be considered Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors. What We’re Looking For Strong knowledge of high school Math, French, or both A professional, energetic, and approachable personality An ability to build rapport with students and work well as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A genuine interest in helping students learn, grow, and gain confidence Previous teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring experience is an asset Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities (Position Details) You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities: Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels Teaching online and in-person Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post-lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times Smiles, High-Fives & Happy Students Role In this position, you will play a key role in helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem.
