We are seeking a skilled Access Control Network Technician who can confidently handle a variety of field tasks across access control, structured cabling, and basic networking. This role is ideal for a well-rounded technician who can work independently, maintain quality, and take ownership of smaller scopes on-site. Role And Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Complete access control field device installations (readers, strikes, maglocks, REX, door contacts) Perform suite rough-in and device plating in multi-residential environments Install, terminate, and test E-Com (emergency communication) systems Run, terminate, and test copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) Pull, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling Perform basic troubleshooting for: Access control systems Network connectivity (IP devices, switches, patching issues) Read and follow drawings, risers, and device layouts Maintain clear and accurate documentation Lead and complete small scopes of work independently Skills And Qualifications 3+ years experience in basic networking / structured cabling / access control Strong hands-on experience with access control installations Experience in multi-residential or high-rise construction projects Ability to complete work with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail Organized and capable of keeping track of work and deficiencies Good communication and teamwork skills Assets Experience with systems such as ICT, Salto, or similar Experience with fiber termination and testing equipment Experience with active network equipment (IP addressing, VLAN, Subnetting) Experience with E-Comm, DAS, Cellular Booster and Wifi deployment.
